March Tour Highlight: 6 Day Grand Teton & Yellowstone Explorer

This month’s highlighted tour is our fantastic Grand Teton & Yellowstone Explorer. This tour runs September 8th-13th, 2014


Here is the tour itinerary:

Day 1:

Today you will arrive in Jackson hole. Your guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to downtown Jackson. You will have a welcome dinner and afterwards you will check into your hotel.

Day 2:

Today you will be exploring Grand Teton national park. Your first stop will be a visit to the National Elk Refuge and a visit to the museum there. After, you will travel up to Jenny Lake for a boat ride and a hike to Hidden Falls, and if you are interested, Inspiration Point. Once finished, you return across the lake and head to Signal Mountain. After lunch you will travel up Signal Mountain to enjoy stunning vistas of the Grand Teton with reflections off of Jackson Lake and Spalding Bay. You will make a brief stop at Coulter Bay before return to your hotel. The rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy.

Day 3:

Your guide will bring you to Jackson Hole for the Day. For the morning, you will explore the Jackson Teton Village. Included is a pass to take the Aerial Tram for fantastic views and vistas of the area. You will spend the morning enjoying a 360 degree view of the Snake River Valley on top of the Teton Range. Multiple Trails lace this mountain top, offering adventure and beautiful vistas to all who make it to the top of Rendezvous Mountain. Your guide will take you on a wonderful nature walk and show you all the areas you will be visiting for the next week along with the wildflowers and other geological aspects of this area! Your Lunch Break will be at the shack at the top of the Mountains.  Their waffles are world class along with other items.  We will then come down the tram in the afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day touring downtown Jackson hole. There is also the option of enjoying the Rodeo that happens every Wednesday and Saturday in this Western Town, or a cruise down the Snake River at sunset with dinner on the banks of the river. (not included) Your guide will provide for transportation throughout the day and return you to your hotel in the evening after your night on the town!

Day 4:

Today you will explore Yellowstone National Park. It is America’s First National Park, established in 1872. Among its many treasures are the famous Old Faithful Geyser and inspiring Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. The Park is also known for its world class fly fishing, active geological features and abundance of large mammals. This natural wonder will be your classroom for the day as you explore its many waterfalls, geyser basins, and other unique geological features. you will have a full day in the park with your guide.

Day 5:

Today you will venture north to Mammoth Springs and Roosevelt Tower Section of Yellowstone. If time permits, you will also explore the East entrance to Yellowstone.

Day 6:

Today you will say goodbye to your Wyoming adventure and have a transfer back to the Jackson Hole airport.
